Theme Music
Yasunori Shiono is the composer for the score of Estpolis Biography II. He also made the music for the first game, but by far the prequel got the better collection of his work (as successive games often do).

Estpolis II is full of memorable tracks, Dekar's theme among them. Interestingly, Dekar is the only playable character that gets his own theme.

Initially, however, that was not going to be the case. According to Shiono, Dekar's theme "was not written specifically for him, but was made his theme afterward. It became so after I became fascinated by his character." (Shiono admits that Dekar is his favorite character in the game — a revelation I've heard countless times. ;))

"Strongest Man" is the twenty-fifth track on the first disc of the Estpolis Biography soundtrack, which includes music from both Estpolis I and II. It can be heard five times during Estpolis II: (1) in the North Dungeon when Dekar saves Maxim, Tia, and Selan from Idura; (2) in the small shrine to Aleyn, when Maxim and Selan reunite with Guy and Dekar; (3) at the top of the Tower of Sacrifice, when Dekar saves the day by freeing the girls and his companions (granted, not the way he originally intended, but still); (4) in the Dankirk North Cave — when he's not even there! — when Guy introduces the party to the bad guys (but he was kinda channeling Dekar in that scene, wasn't he?); (5) during Dekar's return near the end in Portravia.

Though it wasn't originally for him, the musical structure of "Strongest Man" fits Dekar perfectly: the dramatic opening, the strong percussion, the grandiose-sounding horns. It instantly evokes the image of a powerful warrior bursting onto the scene.
