Beauty and the Beast was opened on March 30, 2004 after a successful application to the Fanlistings network. It started out as just a fanlisting, with only a little extra material.But Vincent and Tifa are such popular characters, and the pairing Vincent x Tifa has quite a following among FFVII fans, so in time I decided to turn the fanlisting into a full-fledged fansite. My goal is to make this the home of Vincent x Tifa fans on the 'Net. My gratitude goes out to everyone who submitted fan work of any kind; you're helping me realize my goal!
Of course, in accordance with The Fanlistings' rules, the fanlisting section was and always will be for all kinds of relationships between Vincent and Tifa.
There are those who may wish to call this a "shrine" to Vincent x Tifa. However, I like to make a distinction between that term and a fansite/fanstation: Shrines are extremely in-depth and offer a great deal of detail and analysis on the subject matter, while fansites are simply places for fans of a particular subject to gather and express themselves. The aim of this website is not to list a lot of factual information about Vincent and Tifa, or a lot of editorials about their behavior or related canon events. It's to provide Vincent x Tifa fans with resources for one of their favorite fandom pairings. That said, this website is a fansite for Vincent x Tifa, not a shrine.
The current layout is the thirteenth this site has seen. It was the result of impulse; I originally had no intentions of changing layouts, at least not for a long time. I wanted to try rollovers, so I dug up a good script on the 'Net (you can get it for yourself here).
Fanlistings are just what they sound like: a show of support for the subject matter. You sign up, your name is added to the list during the next update, and that's it! For more details, visit TFL.Org.
